MHD responds to Haiti earthquake



My Home Doctor is responding to the major earthquake that devastated Haiti’s capital on January 12th by sending two of our best on the ground to rescue lives.

Patrick Kavanagh, M.D., an emergency medicine physician Board-Certified in Internal Medicine with a specialty in Infectious Disease.

Liana Gold, ARNP, an adult nurse practitioner with experience in emergency medicine and trauma at Jackson Memorial Hospital Miami and in Israel.


Giving Help


The American Red Cross is one of the most widely known organizations working in Haiti. The American Red Cross is working with its partners in the global Red Cross and Red Crescent network, including the Haitian Red Cross, and other partners to assist those affected by this disaster.

Your gift to the American Red Cross will support emergency relief and recovery efforts to help those people affected by the earthquake in Haiti. Assistance provided by the American Red Cross may include sending relief supplies, mobilizing relief workers and providing financial resources and recovery. Doctors Without Borders has been working in Haiti for 19 years, most recently operating three emergency hospitals in Port-au-Prince, and is mobilizing a large emergency response to this disaster. They are asking donors to give to the Emergency Relief Fund. These types of funds ensure that medical teams can react to the Haiti emergency and humanitarian crisis all over the world, particularly neglected crisis that remain outside the media spotlight.
